Eye of the Tiger (Survivor)
Rocky III ruled the box-office as one of the most successful films in 1982. The main theme was a song titled ‘Eye of the Tiger’ sang by Survivor. Tony Scotti, the president of the recording label, let Sylvester Stallone listen to a few of the band’s songs. He liked the way the band sounded. He tried to call the band’s primary songwriters, Frank Sullivan and Jim Peterik. He left messages on their phones and the deal was on.
