Dancing Queen (ABBA)

ABBA co-members Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus co-wrote this smash disco hit of the 70’s. It became a sort of national anthem for women who want to go on a night of dancing and fun. The original title was ‘Boogaloo’. The disco song that inspired the two to come up with ‘Dancing Queen’ was George McCrae’s own dance floor hit ‘Rock You Baby’. They also drew influence for the drum part from Dr. John’s ‘Gumbo’.
