Interaction with humans
Aside from other animals, quokkas also don’t mind getting too close with humans. People can approach them and they won’t run away. However, if you see one, please be reminded that you are not allowed to handle them in any way. You should also avoid feeding them with human food as they might get sick. You can be fined a minimum of $300 for violations and it can lead to a maximum sentence of $50,000 with even five years of possible jail time.
